Job Description

Make a meaningful impact in the lives of students by supporting a welcoming, inclusive classroom environment. This full-time contract position is ideal for a passionate Special Education Teacher who excels at fostering academic and personal growth for students with diverse needs. You'll work onsite at a single school throughout the academic year, collaborating with a dedicated team of educators and specialists. In this role, you'll support a caseload of approximately 10 students per class, providing specialized instruction and individualized support within a self-inclusion classroom setting. The position runs from August 19th through June 4th, for the full 2026-2027 school year, with 37.5 hours per week.
Qualifications and Experience Sought:
Valid LBS-1 Certification for Special Education (required) Experience with self-inclusion classrooms or similar settings strongly preferred Strong communication skills and a collaborative spirit Ability to create individualized education plans and adapt teaching methods Dedication to fostering an inclusive, nurturing learning environment
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver engaging, evidence-based instruction tailored to each student's unique needs Collaborate with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and support staff Regularly assess and document student progress Implement behavior management strategies to support positive student outcomes Foster an environment that encourages self-advocacy and personal growth for all learners
