Walter Lawson Childrens Home is hiring a Special Education Teacher - Walter Lawson Children's Home in Loves Park, IL. This is a full-time position. Join Our Team as a Special Education Teacher! Supportive Environment:
You'll have the tools, training, and team support to help every student succeed. What You'll Do Serve as Case Manager for assigned students and actively participate in IEP meetings. Conduct student observations, assessments, and develop individualized education programs (IEPs). Design engaging lessons and provide individualized or small-group instruction tailored to student needs. Evaluate student progress and adjust instruction accordingly. Supervise and train classroom paraprofessionals and student teachers. Maintain accurate records, progress reports, and communication logs. Foster a positive, inclusive, and structured classroom environment that encourages growth and achievement. Stay current with best practices and participate in professional development opportunities. What We're Looking For Valid Illinois Teaching License with LBS I Approval. Commitment to collaboration, continuous learning, and student-centered teaching.
