Key Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree required
- Active Professional Educator's License with LBS 1 endorsement (Illinois)
- Previous experience in special education classrooms a plus
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to adapt to different student needs and learning styles
Core Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and modify individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's needs
- Collaborate regularly with general education teachers, therapists, and support staff
- Use diverse instructional strategies to engage and instruct students with a range of abilities
- Track and document student progress, providing regular updates to families and educational teams
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and positive classroom culture
