Assesses students and helps to develop individualized education plans that specify the services and accommodations needed for each student. Works in a classroom that includes only students with IEPs, or works with students and teachers in regular classes. For students with severe disabilities, may focus on developing skills for independent living. Works as part of a team that includes therapists, school counselors or social workers.

What You'll Do:

1. Plan & Deliver Engaging Instruction Develop and adapt lesson plans that align with IEP goals and student needs. Use differentiated instruction and hands-on learning to engage students. Integrate technology and assistive tools to enhance learning. 2. Assess & Support Student Growth Conduct academic and social-emotional assessments to track progress. Use data to adjust instruction and interventions as needed. Regularly communicate progress with students, parents, and teams. 3. Create a Positive Learning Environment Implement behavioral strategies that promote engagement and self-regulation. Foster social skills development and emotional well-being. Collaborate with behavior specialists and school counselors for student success. 4. Collaborate & Communicate Effectively Work closely with general education teachers, therapists, and families. Participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and team discussions. Maintain clear, professional communication with all stakeholders. 5. Grow & Innovate in Your Practice Engage in ongoing professional development and learning. Stay informed on the latest in special education and instructional strategies. Requirements:
