Desired Experience & Qualifications:
Active state licensure and certification as a Special Education Teacher Solid understanding of IEP processes and the ability to craft effective, measurable goals Experience adapting curriculum to meet diverse learning needs Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with general educators, paraprofessionals, and school support staff Commitment to advocating for students and creating a positive, stimulating classroom culture Excellent communication and organizational abilities
Primary Responsibilities:
Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to student needs Adjust instructional methods and materials for varying abilities and learning styles Monitor, evaluate, and document student progress, modifying approaches as necessary Collaborate with parents, administrators, and multidisciplinary teams to optimize student support Foster an inclusive, respectful classroom environment that encourages participation and growth Maintain accurate records and comply with all educational policies and regulations This contract role offers the chance to work within a supportive community, where you can further refine your teaching expertise and make a tangible impact on young lives.
