Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Valid licensure or certification as a Deaf/Hard of Hearing Specialist or Teacher Previous experience working with deaf or hard-of-hearing students in a school setting Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) and other modes of communication Strong collaboration and communication skills Ability to adapt to new environments and embrace diverse student needs
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct instruction and support to DHH students, adapting materials and teaching strategies Collaborate with classroom staff, related service providers, and families to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) Foster a positive, inclusive, and accessible learning atmosphere Participate in assessment, progress monitoring, and reporting
