Required Qualifications:

Valid Illinois Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing (TDHH) License State discipline license as required for TDHH positions in Illinois Compliance with any district and state-specific regulations (including PEL or additional credentials, if needed) Ability to manage an itinerant caseload Previous experience in a school setting or with Deaf/Hard of Hearing students preferred Excellent communication, organization, and collaboration skills

Key Responsibilities:

Provide direct instruction and support to Deaf/Hard of Hearing students across multiple school sites Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to student needs Consult with general education educators, support staff, and parents to ensure appropriate accommodations and modifications Monitor student progress and maintain comprehensive records in line with IEP goals and state regulations Deliver training and resources to colleagues to promote a barrier-free educational environment Advocate for students access to curriculum, extracurriculars, and support services
