Desired Qualifications:
Valid teaching certification for special education (appropriate for the state) Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Special Education or related field Prior experience designing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) Familiarity with a variety of instructional strategies tailored for students with disabilities Excellent communication, classroom management, and organizational skills Passion for advocacy, inclusion, and student-centered teaching
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct instruction in accordance with IEPs and applicable district policies Develop, adapt, and deliver engaging lesson plans addressing each student's individual needs Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and support staff to ensure students' success within all learning environments Monitor and document student progress, adjusting instructional methods as needed Foster a positive, supportive, and structured classroom atmosphere Communicate regularly with families regarding progress and strategies for continued growth Participate actively in IEP meetings, professional development, and team planning sessions You'll thrive in this role if you're flexible, solution-oriented, and enthusiastic about making a difference for every student, every day.
