Job Description

This contract position calls for a skilled ELA Special Education Teacher ready to make a meaningful impact on 2nd grade students. Qualifications and Experience:
Valid Illinois PEL (Professional Educator License) with LBS1 endorsement required Experience working as a Special Education Teacher in an ELA-focused setting is highly valued Ability to develop individualized education plans and adapt curriculum to meet diverse learner needs Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with colleagues and families Genuine passion for supporting the social, emotional, and academic development of students with exceptionalities
Key Responsibilities:
Provide targeted ELA instruction and support to 2nd grade students on your caseload Design and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to student goals Utilize evidence-based interventions and data-driven instruction to maximize student progress Maintain accurate records of student achievement, attendance, and IEP compliance Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with other professionals and family members Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment where every child can thrive
