The Valley View Public School District is seeking an individual to fill a full-time Cross Categorical teaching position for the 2026-2027 school year.JOB SUMMARY
: The Cross-Categorical teacher is responsible for planning and delivering instructional lessons that meet the needs of students with mild to moderate disabilities, creating a classroom environment that is conducive to learning; and employing effective instructional techniques. Additional duties as may from time to time be assigned in accordance with provisions of the Board's policies and requirements.QUALIFICATIONS
: Current Illinois (PEL) Professional Educator License Endorsement in Learning Behavior Specialist (LBSI) Expertise in Behavior Management strategies Ability to write and implement Individual Educational Plans (IEP's) Excellent communication skills Ability to work cooperatively with others Satisfactory special education teaching experienceWORKING CONDITIONS
