Key Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Current state teaching certification in Special Education Bachelors degree or higher in Special Education or a related field Prior experience working with K-12 students with a range of exceptionalities Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation Excellent communication and collaboration skills with staff, students, and families Patience, adaptability, and commitment to individualized education
Primary Responsibilities:
Develop and implement effective lesson plans tailored to meet the needs of students with diverse learning challenges Participate in the IEP process, including assessments, goal setting, documentation, and annual meetings Foster an inclusive, supportive, and safe classroom environment that encourages student growth and self-advocacy Use various instructional strategies to engage students of differing abilities Monitor student progress and maintain accurate records Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and parents to ensure continuity of care Perks of this
