Duties Develop and implement creative, nature-inspired curriculum that promotes exploration, literacy, math skills, physical activity, and social-emotional development. Plan and execute engaging lesson plans tailored to the developmental stages of preschool children, including toddlers. Manage classroom behavior effectively using positive reinforcement strategies and classroom management techniques. Foster a safe, inclusive environment by adhering to child welfare standards and mandated reporting laws. Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about children's progress, milestones, and any concerns through meetings and written updates. Incorporate early intervention strategies and special education practices to support children with diverse learning needs. Conduct assessments using standardized testing methods to monitor developmental progress and inform instruction. Ensure all classroom activities comply with health and safety regulations; maintain first aid and CPR certifications as required. Qualifications Proven experience working with young children in preschool or childcare settings, including classroom experience with toddlers. Strong background in early childhood education principles, child development instruction, and preschool teaching methodologies. Knowledge of curriculum development, literacy education, math instruction, physical education, and behavior management techniques. Familiarity with special education practices, early intervention programs, and childhood welfare standards. Excellent communication skills for parent engagement and team collaboration. Ability to plan lessons effectively while incorporating hands-on learning opportunities in outdoor environments. Certification in first aid and CPR; ongoing professional development in early childhood education preferred.
