Job Description

CUSD 303
is seeking a qualified candidate to serve as a Transition Program Special Education Teacher at Lincoln School for the 26-27 SY. The Transition Program provides instruction to young adults ranging from age 18-22 who are eligible for special education services. The Transition program focuses on the acquisition of daily living and employability skills that lead to successful transition to adult living within the community. The transition program emphasizes communication, maximum independence, and opportunities to generalize skills in natural settings.
Areas of focus may include:
employment, recreation/leisure, education/training, and independent living/self-care skills.
Qualifications:
Minimum Education/Certification:
Bachelor's degree from accredited university Illinois Professional Educator's License with LBS1 Endorsement or Special Education endorsement Transition certificate preferred, but not required Teaching experience preferred 2026
