Category Schools - Teacher of the Deaf / Hard of Hearing Job Type Contract Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) Teacher Soliant is seeking a qualified and dedicated Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) for the upcoming 2026-2027 school year in South Elgin, IL. Position Details Full-Time 37.5 Hours per
Week Schedule:
8:00 AM - 3:30 PM 2026-2027 School Year Onsite Position Caseload Information Approximately 14-15 students Students are distributed across 7 school sites K-12 caseload Provide direct and consultative DHH services based on student IEP minutes Service minutes range from consultation to approximately 150 minutes per week Position does not include case management responsibilities Responsibilities Provide direct instruction and support to Deaf and Hard of Hearing students Deliver consultative services to staff and families as outlined in student IEPs Collaborate with general education teachers, special education teams, and related service providers Monitor student progress and maintain required documentation Support student access to educational programming across multiple school settings Qualifications Active Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) Endorsement Required Previous school-based experience preferred Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills Why Soliant?
