Qualifications:
You will need to have a Master's Degree in Special Education with the LBS1 certification Minimum 1 year teacher in special education preferred
Role Overview:
As Resource Special Education Teacher, you will support serve special education students with diverse learning needs by creating inclusive and personalized educational plans that help them thrive both academically and emotionally. Services are provided in small classroom sizes with emphasis on individualized instruction.
Targeted areas maybe:
academic instruction, behavior interventions focused on targeted IEP goals, early intervention behavior management, positive behavior supports, social skills development, and accountability. The special education teacher is responsible for the implementation of the district curriculum in a way that maximizes student learning. The teacher is responsible for the supervision and evaluation of all students within his/her teaching assignment.
Job Details:
In-person only Two Special Ed Teacher needs Hours will vary on building: 8:35 to 3:45 and 9:05 to 3:15
Schedule:
ASAP to May 31, 2027;
Monday-Friday Dates:
School Year 26-27
Key Responsibilities:
Accommodate, modify and adapt lessons and curriculum as needed to meet individual student needs and IEP Goals Support in the facilitation of IEP meetings as well as development of the IEP Creates a classroom environment that is conducive to learning and appropriate to the developmental levels and interests of their students Set and communicate clear expectations for classroom behavior and school environment by applying positive reinforcement and/or behavior modification techniques as needed. Assist in the development and implementation of student behavior intervention plans Sped Teacher - The special education teacher is responsible for the implementation of the district curriculum in a way that maximizes student learning. The teacher is responsible for the supervision and evaluation of all students within his/her teaching assignment.
