Job Description

Make a meaningful difference in the life of a student as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired. This part-time, contract opportunity is available in a supportive school environment near Woodstock, IL for the 2026-2027 academic year. Youll provide direct, onsite support to one student, dedicating just 1-2 hours each week to promote their independence and success.
What Youll Bring:
Current Illinois Educator Certification (required) Expertise in teaching students who are visually impaired Ability to effectively assess needs and adapt instructional strategies Strong communication skills to collaborate with staff and families Commitment to fostering an inclusive and accessible educational setting
What Youll Do:
Deliver specialized instruction and support, tailored to the visual and educational needs of one student Consult with general education teachers and support staff to ensure accessible learning materials and settings Track progress, document outcomes, and participate in IEP meetings as needed Share resources and recommendations to support ongoing skill development and independence Maintain compliance with state and district policies regarding special education This role is ideal for professionals seeking a flexible, contract position with a focused caseload.
