Job Description

Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract A school district is now looking to hire a Special Education Teacher for a current, full-time opening for the 2026-2027 school year. This position will support students in a self-contained classroom setting at the elementary level. Responsibilities:
Provide specialized instruction and support to elementary students receiving special education services. Manage a self-contained classroom serving students in grades K-5. Develop and implement individualized instruction aligned with student IEP goals and educational objectives. Collaborate with classroom staff, related service providers, and families to support student success. Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation related to student goals and services. Create a positive, structured, and inclusive classroom environment.
Experience:
Previous experience working in a self-contained special education classroom is preferred. Experience supporting elementary-aged students with diverse learning needs is a plus.
Education:
Valid Special Education Teaching License required.

Approximately 35 hours per week

8-12 students
Classroom Setting:
Self-contained, K-5th grade
Pay:
