Desired Qualifications:
Valid Special Education Teaching certification (or eligibility for certification) Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field; masters preferred Previous experience in a school-based setting, particularly working with students with varying disabilities Strong knowledge of IEP development and implementation Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with students, families, and staff Flexibility, adaptability, and problem-solving abilities
Key Responsibilities:
Design, implement, and adapt lesson plans to accommodate individualized education program (IEP) goals Work collaboratively with general education teachers and support staff to support student inclusion Maintain detailed records and complete required documentation in a timely manner Communicate regularly with families regarding student progress and strategies for continued growth Participate in IEP meetings, staff meetings, and professional development activities Foster a positive and supportive classroom culture that respects individual differences Enjoy the benefits of a flexible contract position that allows you to focus your energy on what matters mosthelping students succeed.
