Special Education Teacher | Zion, Illinois Sunbelt Staffing - 3.8 Zion, IL Job Details Part-time | Full-time | Contract $25 - $45 an hour 1 day ago Qualifications Student progress monitoring Professional Educator License Full Job Description Embark on a rewarding journey supporting students as a Special Education Teacher for the upcoming school year, located near Zion, IL. This full-time, in-person contract position runs from August 17, 2026, through May 27, 2027, offering approximately 33.25 hours per week in a dynamic instructional/resource setting. Your expertise will be key in fostering an inclusive classroom environment at the Shiloh Park campus, ensuring every student has an opportunity to reach their potential. Ideal candidates will bring dedication, empathy, and strong instructional skills to the role, as well as a commitment to individualized support and collaboration. This position calls for educators ready to engage, inspire, and make a positive impact.
Qualifications & Experience:
Active and valid Professional Educator License (PEL) required; please have a copy available during the application process Experience as a Special Education Teacher in a K-12 setting is highly valued Proficiency with developing and implementing IEPs, as well as adapting curriculum for diverse learning needs Effective communication skills for collaborating with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams Ability to maintain accurate records and provide detailed progress monitoring
