Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Make a meaningful impact as a Special Education Teacher supporting 5th and 6th grade students in a collaborative, student-focused environment. This contract opportunity involves working as a Mild Interventions Teacher, providing both push-in and pull-out services to help students achieve academic and personal growth. You'll play a vital role in delivering targeted interventions and supporting learners with diverse needs while fostering an inclusive learning atmosphere. Your expertise will be instrumental in carrying out Teacher of Record responsibilities, including writing IEPs, conducting progress monitoring, and ensuring compliance with educational requirements. Collaborate with a dedicated team of educators and contribute to a supportive school culture, all within a 5th and 6th grade building.
Qualifications & Experience:
Current Special Education Teacher certification (or eligibility) Experience with mild interventions preferred In-depth understanding of IEP development, implementation, and monitoring Strong ability to balance push-in and pull-out instructional models Knowledge of current special education best practices Effective communication and documentation skills Previous experience with 5th and 6th grade students beneficial
