Key Qualifications:

Active Indiana Special Education teaching license (please be prepared to provide a screenshot) Experience supporting students with mild disabilities in a self-contained setting preferred Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with colleagues, families, and support staff Ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) Passion for creating an inclusive learning environment that encourages student growth

Position Responsibilities:

Provide direct instruction and adapt curriculum for middle school students with mild disabilities in a self-contained classroom Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs to ensure diverse learning needs are met Maintain detailed records on student progress and communicate regularly with families Work closely with administrators and related service providers to create a cohesive support system for students Manage classroom behavior through positive behavioral supports and interventions Participate in meetings, professional development, and school initiatives to support continuous improvement Enjoy a consistent schedule of 35 hours per week, all onsite, from your start date through mid-December 2026, allowing you to build meaningful relationships with your students and school community.
