Special Education Teacher - Frankfort, IN

Job Description

Empower middle school students and make a meaningful impact as a Special Education Teacher in a resource classroom setting on a full-time contract assignment. In this role, you'll collaborate with educators and support staff to deliver individualized instruction and foster a supportive learning environment where every student can succeed.
Key Qualifications:
Valid licensure or certification as a Special Education Teacher Previous experience working with middle school-aged students Strong understanding of instructional strategies and IEP processes Excellent communication, organization, and collaboration skills Ability to adapt lesson plans to meet diverse student needs
Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide resource support services to middle school students with varying exceptionalities Develop, implement, and update Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in compliance with state and federal guidelines Modify curriculum and create engaging learning activities tailored to student abilities and goals Assess student progress and maintain accurate documentation of performance and behavior Communicate regularly with families, teachers, and support staff regarding student developments Participate in IEP meetings, professional development sessions, and faculty collaborations Foster an inclusive, safe, and positive classroom environment As a valued educator, you'll have the opportunity to build meaningful relationships with students and help them achieve their academic goals.
