We're seeking dedicated Special Education Teachers to fill several immediate needs across Early Intervention, elementary, and K-8th grade classrooms. Your expertise in mild and/or intense intervention will be valued and put to meaningful use, depending on your experience.
Key Qualifications:
Current or in-progress Indiana Teaching Certificate required Experience in special education settings preferred (EI, K-8, elementary) Familiarity with interventions for students with a range of needs, from mild to intense Strong communication skills to collaborate with teachers, parents, and support staff Ability to develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) Flexibility and enthusiasm for working with diverse learners
Core Responsibilities:
Provide direct instruction to students according to their IEPs, using evidence-based strategies Adapt lessons and materials for learners with varying abilities and needs Consult with general education teachers to create inclusive classroom environments Track student progress and maintain thorough documentation Participate in IEP meetings, student evaluations, and parent conferences Serve as a resource and advocate for students with disabilities
