Qualifications:

Bachelors Degree (B.A.) required State Certified Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) credential required Previous experience working in school settings, preferably with pediatric and 1:1 instruction Strong collaboration and communication skills Adaptability and a positive, student-centered approach Open to qualified travel educators in addition to local candidates

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver tailored instruction and support to students with visual impairments, ensuring full access to the curriculum Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in collaboration with other professionals and families Adapt teaching materials and classroom environments to meet the unique needs of each student Consult with classroom teachers and staff to promote inclusive practices Track student progress and maintain accurate, detailed documentation Communicate with parents and related service providers to foster ongoing support
