This full-time contract position runs from ASAP through December 18, 2026, with a weekly commitment of 35 hours onsite in a middle school setting near Muncie, IN.

What Youll Need:

Valid and active Indiana teaching license in Special Education (please present proof upon application) Experience or understanding of best practices in teaching students with mild disabilities Familiarity with self-contained classroom environments preferred Strong classroom management and communication skills Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, therapists, and families Commitment to inclusive, student-centered education

Your Responsibilities:

Provide direct instruction to middle school students in a self-contained classroom Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) that address academic, behavioral, and social needs Adapt lessons and teaching strategies to accommodate varying learning styles and abilities Maintain accurate records of student progress and required documentation Collaborate with support staff and families to promote student growth and success Foster a positive, supportive classroom climate focused on learning and development Youll thrive in this role if you are patient, adaptable, and passionate about helping every student reach their full potential.
