Qualifications and Experience:
Current Indiana Special Education (IN SPED) teaching license required Experience working with middle school students in a self-contained classroom, particularly with mild disabilities, strongly preferred Familiarity with IEP development and implementation Strong behavior management and differentiation skills Effective communication and collaboration abilities with students, families, and staff Ability to adhere to district and state guidelines as required
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver specialized instruction to students in a self-contained classroom Design and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to each students needs Maintain accurate records and documentation in accordance with state and district regulations Foster an inclusive, supportive, and structured learning environment Communicate progress and collaborate with parents, general education teachers, and support personnel Adapt teaching materials and methods to meet individual learning goals Participate in team meetings and professional development as needed
