The following responsibilities are required of the position, plus any other duties that may be required by the employer. Specific duties and responsibilities will be assigned by the building principal. Engage students in learning, manage student behavior in a positive, proactive and constructive manner for the purpose of providing a safe and optimal learning environment. Prepare students to become productive responsible citizens through positive proactive engagement and modeling. Create a flexible program and class environment favorable to learning and personal growth. Establish effective rapport with students, seek to meet individual student needs. Motivate students to develop skills, attitudes and knowledge needed to provide a good foundation for continuing education. Establish positive relationships with students, parents and otherstaff members. Supervise students within assigned areas and as needed. Develop Lesson plans. Deliver group and individual student instruction within established curriculum guidelines. Provide diverse learners with accommodations and modifications to ensure learning. At a minimum provide the legally required modifications and accommodations as outlined in each child'sIEP, 504
plan, Health Care Plan or other legally mandated document. Collaborate with other teachers, administrators to address instructional and/or classroom issues. Respond to a wide range of inquiries from students, parents, and guardians regarding the instructional program and student progress. Create and support a culture that empowers students. Encourage a culture of inclusiveness and support for all children.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY
