As a Special Education Teacher you will: Work with students in grades K-8 Regularly monitor the implementation of students' IEPs Write individual education plans and assist teachers with meeting the requirements of IEPs Inform each staff member of his or her specific responsibilities related to the implementation of students' IEP Schedule, attend, and facilitate case conferences Support and contribute to the evaluation or re-evaluation process Maintain regular communication of student progress with both student's families and staff Demonstrate effective instructional and classroom management approaches to students across all disabilities Collaborate with the general education classroom teacher, as well as the special education staff, on curriculum and student needs

Job Qualifications:

A current Indiana Teacher's License is required Special Education license not required, but must be willing to obtain a Special Education license Must demonstrate a commitment to professional growth Pass a background check
