Job Description

Take on an exciting and impactful contract role supporting students as a Special Education Teacher focused on mild interventions for 5th and 6th grade students. This opportunity involves working within a dedicated team, providing both push-in and pull-out services to ensure that every student receives the support needed to thrive in an inclusive educational setting.
Key Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Valid Special Education Teaching License Experience with mild interventions and supporting students in upper elementary or middle school grades Ability to serve as Teacher of Record (TOR): managing compliance and documentation Skilled in writing and implementing IEPs, including ongoing progress monitoring Familiarity with both push-in and pull-out service models Excellent communication skills to collaborate with teachers, staff, and families
Responsibilities Include:
Providing specialized instruction and support to students in 5th and 6th grades within a collaborative and supportive school environment Implementing both individualized and group interventions as needed in general education and resource settings Serving as the Teacher of Record for assigned students and managing all legal documentation Developing, writing, and revising IEPs that address each student's unique learning and behavioral needs Monitoring and documenting students' progress, updating records, and communicating with the team Building positive relationships with students and fostering a supportive, inclusive classroom environment This role offers you the chance to make a tangible difference in students' daily lives, while working alongside passionate colleagues.
