Job Description

Make a meaningful impact in a supportive educational environment by sharing your expertise as a Special Education Teacher for a 5th and 6th grade setting. This contract opportunity focuses on delivering mild intervention services, both through push-in and pull-out models, at an innovative intermediate level campus. Required Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Valid Special Education certification or licensure (Indiana preferred) Previous experience as a Special Education Teacher, especially with upper elementary grades Proficient in facilitating both push-in and pull-out interventions Strong knowledge of writing and implementing IEPs Skilled in progress monitoring and data-driven instruction Capable of fulfilling all Teacher of Record duties, ensuring compliance and advocacy for student needs Exceptional communication, organization, and collaboration skills
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver targeted instruction to students with mild disabilities, both within general education classes and individualized pull-out sessions Develop, update, and manage IEPs, communicating progress with families and team members Analyze student data and track progress toward IEP goals, making adjustments as needed Work collaboratively with school staff and families to provide consistent support for students Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with all educational guidelines and timelines A welcoming school community, engaged leadership, and the chance to make a daily difference in students lives await you.
