QUALIFICATIONS

: Indiana Licensed Teacher Strong ability to take initiative Leadership ability, dependability, enthusiasm, good communication skills, and consistency

REPORTS TO

: Director of Special Education Services

JOB GOAL

: The homebound teacher will provide one-on-one instruction for students who are temporarily unable to attend school. The homebound teacher will provide engaging instruction in all content areas with emphasis on reading and math, support academic progress, and maintain continuity of learning.

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITY

: Provide instruction one-on-one in a variety of content areas, placing an emphasis on reading and math. Provide support with students' academic assignments Communicate with students, teachers, parents, and administrators in an efficient manner Meet professional responsibilities Maintain professional work habits Foster a climate conducive to learning Maintain a log of hours worked

HOURS :

A certified classroom teacher provides instruction four times per week for one hour for a total of 4 hours per week to a student receiving homebound instruction.
