This contract opportunity spans from ASAP through May 27, 2027, offering full-time hours (37.5 per week) in one consistent location.

Three unique positions are available:

Middle School Special Education Teacher working with students with emotional disabilities, Middle School Special Education Teacher focusing on functional and life skills, and Elementary Special Education Teacher supporting children with emotional disabilities. You'll make a real impact by delivering tailored instruction, developing individual education plans, and collaborating closely with general education staff.

Qualifications & Experience:

Valid Kansas Special Education Certification (KS SPED Cert) is required Background working with students who have emotional or behavioral disabilities and/or life skills needs, preferred Experience designing and implementing IEPs Strong communication and collaboration skills to partner effectively with colleagues and families Adaptability, patience, and a proactive approach to classroom management Passion for creating an inclusive and positive educational environment

Key Responsibilities:

Instruct and support students with emotional disabilities or functional/life skills needs, according to position focus Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) Adapt curriculum and teaching strategies to individualized student needs Foster a structured, compassionate, and engaging learning atmosphere Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and communicate student progress to families Maintain compliance with all district, state, and federal special education guidelines Youll thrive in an environment where your expertise is valued and your efforts make a daily difference in students lives.
