Job Description

Make a meaningful impact in the classroom by supporting students with special needs in a full-time, onsite role. Three openings are available for dedicated Special Education professionals ready to empower young learners and help them thrive. Positions are based at a single school site, allowing you to immerse yourself in a close-knit educational environment and collaborate with a skilled team.
Available roles include:
Middle school teacher specializing in supporting students with emotional disabilities Middle school teacher focused on functional/life skills development Elementary teacher working with students who have emotional disabilities What you'll do: Create individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to student strengths and requirements Deliver engaging, differentiated instruction to individuals and small groups Foster a supportive, structured classroom environment that emphasizes social-emotional growth Track and assess progress, maintaining comprehensive records in accordance with regulations Collaborate with general education staff, therapists, and families Participate in professional development to continually enhance your teaching practice Desired qualifications: Active Kansas Special Education Certification (required) Experience as a special education teacher or in a school-based special needs setting Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with an empathetic and adaptable teaching approach Knowledge of best practices for students with emotional and/or functional/life skill needs Comfortable working onsite and supporting learners in person This is an excellent contract opportunity for passionate educators ready to make a difference.
