Job Description

Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity making a meaningful impact in the lives of students. We're seeking dedicated Special Education Teachers to serve in an onsite role for the current academic year, supporting students at a single, well-resourced campus. With three full-time positions available, youll directly influence Middle or Elementary School learners with either emotional disabilities or functional/life skills needs. Your expertise will help shape learning outcomes, foster independence, and encourage positive development in a supportive educational environment. Enjoy the ability to focus on one location, collaborating closely with a passionate team of educators and specialists.
Qualifications:
Valid Kansas Special Education certification (KS SPED Cert required) Experience working with students with emotional or functional/life skills disabilities at Elementary or Middle School levels Strong classroom management and individualized instructional skills Commitment to compassionate, student-centered education Ready to begin as soon as possible and serve through May 27, 2027
Your Role:
Provide direct instruction and behavioral support tailored to the unique needs of your assigned students Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) Work collaboratively with general education teachers, school counselors, and parents to ensure cohesive support Maintain accurate records and monitor student progress Foster a safe, nurturing learning environment conducive to growth and participation Engage in ongoing professional development
