Job Description

Supplemental Health Care is partnering with a school district in Emporia, KS seeking a dedicated and collaborative Special Education Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year . This position focuses on supporting students in an elementary intensive skills classroom within a team-oriented environment.
Position Details Pay Rate:
$40 to $43 per hour Plus an
Assignment Bonus:
$3,000•

Elementary Intensive Skills Classroom Position Overview The Special Education Teacher will provide specialized instruction in an intensive skills classroom while working closely with general education staff in a co-teaching model. This role requires strong collaboration skills and the ability to thrive in a shared classroom environment. Key Responsibilities Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) Provide direct instruction tailored to students with intensive learning needs Collaborate with co-teachers and support staff in a shared classroom setting Foster a positive and structured learning environment Track and report student progress Utilize district platforms for documentation and reporting: WebKIDS for IEP management PowerSchool for grade reporting Qualifications Valid Special Education certification required Experience in an intensive skills or similar special education setting preferred Ability to work effectively in a co-teaching environment Strong collaboration, communication, and teamwork skills
