Job Description

Ignite your passion for making a difference in students lives with a fulfilling contract opportunity supporting learners with diverse needs. Three full-time positions are available, making a real impact in one school in a supportive environment. Roles include a middle school teacher for students with emotional disabilities, a middle school teacher supporting functional/life skills, and an elementary teacher focused on children with emotional disabilities. Candidates should bring expertise, empathy, and adaptability to help students achieve their personal and academic goals alongside a dedicated school team.
Qualifications:
Valid Kansas Special Education Certification required Experience teaching students with emotional disabilities or functional/life skills needs preferred Strong communication skills for collaborating with faculty, parents, and support staff Commitment to fostering inclusive, supportive classroom environments Ability to adapt lesson plans for diverse learning abilities
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement individualized instructional plans tailored to students' IEPs Foster positive, safe learning environments that nurture student growth Work collaboratively with other educators, counselors, and support staff Track and document student progress, maintaining compliance with state and federal regulations Communicate regularly with parents/guardians about student development Engage in ongoing professional development and support school initiatives These are onsite positions, Monday through Friday, serving students from ASAP through May 27, 2027.
