Job Description

Empower students and reshape the classroom experience as a Special Education professional in a dynamic contract role supporting middle and high school learners. You'll have the opportunity to facilitate growth for students with diverse needs, focusing on Life Skills at the middle school level as well as Resource support at both middle and high school. Contribute to a collaborative, inclusive educational environment, providing tailored instruction and fostering independence in each student.

Qualifications & Experience:

Current and valid Kansas Special Education Certification (SPED Cert in KS) Experience working with middle and/or high school students preferred Strong understanding of individualized education plans (IEPs) and adaptations Demonstrated skills in managing diverse caseloads, especially with Life Skills and Resource students Excellent communication, organizational, and collaborative skills

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver engaging, differentiated instruction to students with a range of learning and behavioral needs Develop and implement IEP goals collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team Communicate regularly with parents, support staff, and administration to ensure student progress Maintain accurate, timely documentation and follow all district and state guidelines Support a positive and respectful classroom climate that maximizes each student's potential

Role Details:

Contract duration: August 12, 2026 - May 26, 2027

Full-time:
