A contract opportunity is available for an experienced Special Education Teacher passionate about working with early childhood and elementary students, particularly those with intensive needs and autism. This full-time, onsite role runs through late May 2025.

Qualifications & Experience:

Holds a valid Kansas Special Education (SPED) license Experience or strong interest in working with autism-specific classrooms Skilled at developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) Ability to foster a positive, inclusive classroom community Excellent communication and collaboration abilities with fellow educators, staff, and families Comfortable adapting strategies to accommodate diverse student learning needs

Primary Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver engaging instruction for students with intensive needs at the early childhood and elementary levels Create and maintain a safe, supportive classroom tailored to meet individual student goals Develop and update IEPs in partnership with families and multidisciplinary teams Collect and analyze student progress data to guide instructional decisions Implement evidence-based interventions and behavior management strategies Foster partnerships with support staff, related service providers, and families Participate in professional development to continually enhance skills
