Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Step into an influential role serving elementary school students as a Special Education Teacher/Case Manager. Engage with children in grades K-5, delivering targeted instruction and guidance to a caseload of 17-20 students with mild to moderate interrelated/resource needs. This contract opportunity invites you to make a positive impact through direct teaching, collaboration, and case management in an organized, supportive school setting near Manhattan, KS.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

Valid Special Education teaching certification Previous experience working with elementary-age students, preferably in resource/interrelated settings Demonstrated skill in managing IEP caseloads and compliance requirements Ability to deliver individualized and differentiated instruction aligned to student needs and learning goals Strong communication and collaboration skills for partnering with families, teachers, and support staff Detail-oriented mindset for progress monitoring and data-driven instruction

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee IEPs for your assigned caseload, ensuring timely compliance with all requirements Provide direct special education and resource instruction within K-5 classrooms Collaborate closely with general education teachers, administrators, and related service providers to promote student success Maintain accurate data on student progress, document services, and complete all required reports Communicate proactively with parents/guardians around student goals, progress, and interventions Foster a positive, inclusive, and structured classroom environment
