Qualifications:

Active Kansas Special Education teaching license appropriate for your selected grade level (required prior to district placement) Experience or enthusiasm for working in life skills, autism, or behavioral support classrooms Ability to differentiate instruction and collaborate with team members for individualized student success Strong classroom management and communication skills Previous experience in a similar role is valued, but encouraging to both new and seasoned educators

Role Responsibilities:

Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with a range of abilities Create a safe and supportive classroom culture that nurtures respect, trust, and learning Collaborate with general education staff, related service providers, and families Utilize evidence-based instructional strategies to foster progress in academic and functional skill domains Consistently assess student development and adapt interventions as needed Serve as an advocate and resource for students and families This is a contract opportunity for the entire school year, August 2026 through May 2027.
