Key Qualifications:

Active Kentucky Special Education certification with Moderate/Severe Disabilities (MSD) credentials Experience working with elementary-aged students with moderate to severe disabilities Demonstrated ability to create individualized education plans (IEPs) and track progress Strong communication skills and approachable demeanor with students, families, and colleagues Adaptability and creative problem-solving in a dynamic classroom environment Compliance with all state and federal education regulations for special education

Responsibilities:

Deliver specialized instruction to a caseload of 7 elementary students with moderate to severe disabilities Develop and implement individualized curriculum and lesson plans based on student abilities and needs Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and paraprofessionals to ensure student support Monitor, document, and report on student goals and progress toward IEP benchmarks Participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and ongoing professional development Foster a safe, inclusive classroom atmosphere that encourages growth and confidence
