This is a full-time role for the full academic year, providing the opportunity to utilize your expertise and passion as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI). Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Current Kentucky certification as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI) Demonstrated experience delivering specialized instruction to students with visual impairments Ability to participate effectively in IEP and Admission and Release Committee meetings Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with students, families, and school staff Commitment to completing all required professional development and training Adherence to Kentuckys professional code of ethics for educators
Responsibilities:
Deliver tailored instruction and support to help students with visual impairments achieve their educational goals Consult with classroom teachers, paraprofessionals, and related service providers to ensure appropriate accommodations and modifications Participate in IEP meetings, providing expert input and advocating for student needs Track student progress, maintain documentation, and assist in assessments as needed Remain current with best practices by completing required professional development and ongoing training Foster an inclusive, supportive environment where every student can thrive Why Consider This Opportunity?
