Responsibilities Develop and implement engaging curriculum plans tailored to the developmental needs of children, including literacy, math, physical education, and social-emotional skills. Conduct child development assessments to monitor progress and adapt teaching methods accordingly. Communicate regularly with parents or guardians about their child's growth, milestones, and any concerns, fostering strong home-school connections. Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws related to child welfare and safety protocols. Maintain accurate records of lesson plans, attendance, assessments, and incident reports. Lead activities that support early intervention strategies and special education accommodations when necessary. Promote inclusive practices aligned with Montessori or other specialized educational philosophies as applicable. Experience Prior classroom experience working with young children in daycare, preschool, or private school settings is essential. Demonstrated expertise in curriculum development across early childhood subjects such as literacy education, math, physical education, and childhood development instruction. Experience working with children who have special needs or require early intervention services is highly valued. Knowledge of classroom management techniques and behavior management strategies to foster a positive learning environment. Familiarity with standardized testing procedures and assessment tools used in early childhood education. Strong communication skills for effective parent engagement and team collaboration. Certification in first aid and CPR is preferred; ongoing professional development in early childhood education is encouraged.
