Key Qualifications:

Current Kentucky teaching certification in Visual Impairments is required Experience working with students who have visual impairments highly preferred Strong communication and organization skills Ability to write thorough assessment reports Commitment to participating in ARC (Admissions and Release Committee) meetings

Primary Responsibilities:

Provide specialized VI services to eligible students in alignment with their individualized education programs (IEPs) Attend and actively contribute to ARC meetings, offering your insights and advocacy for student needs Conduct and complete detailed assessment reports to track student progress and determine service eligibility Collaborate with educators, support personnel, and families to create and update instructional plans Foster an inclusive, supportive learning environment that encourages each students independence and success
