Dedicated Special Education Teachers are needed on a contract basis to provide essential support across multiple school settings. These roles will serve students ranging from ages 3 to grade 6, offering opportunities to make a meaningful difference in both inclusion and self-contained environments.
Assignments include:
Inclusion Teacher for Grade 3 Self-contained classroom for Ages 3-5 Self-contained classroom for Grades 4-6 Potential Grade 2 Resource position This position requires a strong commitment to fostering an inclusive, supportive, and adaptive educational experience for students with a variety of learning needs.
Qualifications:
Valid Louisiana Special Education teaching license Experience working with elementary-aged children in both inclusion and self-contained classrooms Familiarity with IEP development and implementation Excellent communication and collaboration skills Flexibility and a compassionate approach to meeting individual student needs
Responsibilities:
Develop, modify, and implement individualized educational plans (IEPs) Work collaboratively with general education staff, paraprofessionals, and related service providers Adapt curriculum and teaching methods according to student abilities and needs Foster a safe, supportive, and engaging classroom environment Communicate regularly with families on student progress Maintain documentation, progress monitoring, and compliance with district and state guidelines
Role Details:
