Key Qualifications:
Valid certification as an Educational Diagnostician Experience administering and interpreting educational and psychological assessments Strong understanding of IDEA and state special education regulations Exceptional communication and collaboration skills Ability to create detailed, actionable evaluation reports Familiarity with a variety of assessment tools and progress monitoring techniques Previous school-based experience is preferred
Primary Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive evaluations for students referred for special education services Collaborate with teachers, school psychologists, counselors, and other professionals to gather and analyze student data Develop clear, comprehensive written reports aligned with district and legal standards Participate in IEP meetings to present evaluation findings and contribute to individualized student plans Offer consultative support to instructional staff regarding accommodations, interventions, and progress tracking Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to timelines for assessments and reporting Engage in ongoing professional development to stay abreast of current trends in assessment and special education
