9576250-70065 Job Description Make a meaningful impact on student success as a Para/VOCO Facilitator supporting educational teams in the New Orleans area. This contract position is designed for a dedicated paraprofessional eager to work alongside virtual school psychologists or speech-language pathologists, bridging technology, learning, and individualized care for students. In this full-time role, youll assist with classroom management, support special education needs, and foster a positive learning atmosphere for students in a virtual facilitation setting. The school year begins August 3, 2026, and runs through May 27, 2027, with consistent weekday hours (35 hours per week, 7 hours per day, with a 30-minute unpaid lunch).

Qualifications:

Associates Degree, ParaPro assessment score of at least 450, or 48 completed semester credit hours (district requirement) Significant experience working in a special education setting Strong interpersonal skills and comfort with technology Ability to complete required district credentialing, including a drug screen and fingerprint clearance Willingness to be assigned to one or more schools as needed

Key Responsibilities:

Facilitate virtual sessions for students alongside a remote school psychologist or SLP Offer daily support to students, reinforcing lesson objectives and behavioral guidance Collaborate with educators and related service providers Maintain accurate records and ensure student confidentiality Adapt to changing caseloads and needs as requested by the district Take pride in shaping young learners experiences while working in a dynamic, supportive environment.
