Qualifications & Desired Experience:

Active Louisiana Educator Certificate required Special Education Educator Certificate strongly preferred; candidates with Elementary 1-5 Certificate will be considered Experience working with elementary students in a self-contained or resource setting is a plus Strong communication, classroom management, and collaboration skills Passion for creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment

Responsibilities:

Lead instruction in a self-contained special education classroom, adapting lessons to meet students' individual education plans (IEPs) Develop and implement differentiated instructional strategies that foster academic and social-emotional growth Collaborate with related service providers, classroom staff, and families to promote student success Maintain accurate documentation of student progress, IEP goals, and required reports Participate in IEP meetings, professional development, and ongoing school activities
