Special Education Teacher - Kenner, Louisiana

Job Description

Qualifications and Experience:
Active Louisiana DOE teaching certification with Special Education (SPED) endorsement required Demonstrated experience or training in special education teaching TA/TAT credentials are not accepted; currently certified candidates only Ability to complete and pass time-sensitive district credentialing requirements, including drug screening and fingerprinting Flexibility to be assigned to more than one school if needed Strong communication skills, adaptability, and an enthusiastic approach to collaborative teaching environments
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with varying learning needs Deliver specialized instruction in accordance with district and state SPED guidelines Collaborate effectively with general education teachers, school staff, and families Maintain accurate records and track student progress Uphold confidentiality and act in accordance with all legal and ethical standards Support students academic and social-emotional growth in inclusive and self-contained settings This is your chance to work with a supportive district that values certified, experienced educators who are ready to start without delay.
