Key Qualifications:
Current Louisiana Special Education Educator Certificate required Experience as a Special Education Teacher in school settings Strong classroom management skills and the ability to adapt strategies for diverse learning needs Commitment to creating an inclusive environment and fostering student growth Collaborates effectively with teachers, parents, and school staff Passion for supporting students in achieving their highest potential Comfortable with various teaching settings and open to flexibility within caseload assignments
Responsibilities:
Provide special education instruction, tailored interventions, and academic support to students Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in compliance with state and federal guidelines Track and assess student progress, maintaining thorough documentation Communicate regularly with parents and school staff to ensure students' needs are met Support students' social, emotional, and behavioral development Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and professional development as required Foster a positive and encouraging classroom environment for all learners
